Daycare centre "Schillerstraße"

A completely new establishment for 100 kindergarten children and 50 after-school care club children was created according to modern pedagogical and technical insight in 2008.
We are located close to nature directly by the stream in Niederhöchstadt in a traffic calmed area among lots of greenery.
The spatial concept envisages the separation of different single-purpose areas. The orienta-tion system uses colour changes in the flooring – that way, the children can intuitively orien-tate themselves and move around.
Apart from the group rooms, which are furnished in an optimal way, there is a large exercise room for sports and exercise activities.
If required, it transforms into a barrier-free event hall with a stage and access to the toilets and kitchen. It can be used for such events related to the district.
All the group rooms have direct access to the outdoor area, which is easily visible through the outwardly directed glass fronts.
The outdoor area provides the children with room for adventures which stimulate free play and imagination.
In addition to rooms for the individual tutoring of children, there are several “children’s cafete-rias” in the building.
Just like the group rooms, the entrance and reception area and the staff rooms are equipped with state of the art facilities.
This is where the meals are eaten together, but the children also have the possibility to meet for breakfast with all the groups and exchange ideas at the breakfast buffet.
Our child-appropriate meals are partially freshly prepared and purchased by local producers. We prefer to use organic quality produce.
There are various supervision modules that you can book according to your requirements, although places for full-time daycare including lunch are in particular demand.
22 pedagogical and technical members of staff care for your children in 4 kindergarten groups. In 2 of these groups, we work inclusively with a smaller number of children and an extended staff ratio in order to meet the requirements of the children with special educational needs.
In the after-school care club, 50 children are looked after according to a so-called “open con-cept”. During the school holidays, all-day holiday care is provided here.
Our pedagogical work has the aim of enabling children with different backgrounds and abili-ties to act as independently, autonomously, self dependently, socially competent, confident and knowledgeably as possible in their current and future life.
We work with situational approach, which is continually extended to include today’s require-ments of childhood as a working and thinking approach and includes educational and learn-ing needs of the children purposefully in the pedagogical work.
