Traditonal celebrations

Eschenfest (ash tree festival)
The Eschenfest always takes place during a weekend at the end of May or beginning of June in the centre of Eschborn. It is a traditional festival organized by the societies and clubs of the town, and features an extensive programme including musical and cabaret acts, activities for children, and a big jumble sale.

Wiesenfest (meadow festival)
The former fair begins on the Friday of the last weekend in July and lasts until the following Monday. Rides, a beer tent and a large beer garden are set up on the fairground at the Ob-erwiesen, and there is live music every night. The highlight is always the closing display of fireworks.

Niederhöchstadt market

Every two years (in even years), one of the most pleasant festivals in the Main-Taunus area takes place in the centre of Niederhöchstadt. The clubs of the district present themselves during a weekend in the summer (July/August) in the yards along the main road, which is transformed into a festival mile. Date: 18.-20.07.2014.

Christmas market
Every year at the second weekend of Advent, the Eschenplatz shines with Christmassy splendour. The clubs of Eschborn and Niederhöchstadt sell food and drinks as well as Christmas decorations and small gifts at numerous stands, and performances of choirs and music groups create a festive atmosphere.
